i made these yesterday morning for two of my guy friends, and they would have told me how much they loved it, except their faces were full of s’mores french toast
Ingredients:
eggs
milk
vanilla
chocolate graham crackers
bread
chocolate chips
marshmallows
Directions:
preheat oven to 350
in a bowl, whisk eggs together with a splash of milk and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
crush graham crackers in a bag to make fine crumbs and pour onto a plate
dip bread in egg mixture, making sure it is totally coated, then place bread on graham cracker crumbs, covering both sides of the bread
lay on heated pan for about 2 minutes on each side - times will vary
WHILE bread is cooking, heat 1/4 cup of milk in a pot and stir in chocolate chips to make ganache. try to get a thick and spreadable consistency. keep on very low heat
take bread off the pan and lay on aluminum-foil lined baking sheet and heat in the oven for about 5 minutes
take bread out, and place three marshmallows on top of 1 slice for every 2 pieces of bread
place back in over for about 5 minutes or until marshmallows have melted a little bit
when ready, take bread out of the oven and spread non-marshmallow bread with chocolate ganache
assemble both pieces together and drizzle with more chocolate and more graham cracker crumbs
